Player Factions

In the chaotic world of Escape From Duckov, two major private military companies (PMCs) - United Security (USEC) and Battle Encounter Assault Regiment (BEAR) - are engaged in a fierce confrontation. At the beginning of the game, players must choose to join one of these factions. This choice will determine your character's background, initial skills, and default relationship with other faction members.

United Security (USEC)

United Security (USEC) is a private military company headquartered in the United States. They are hired by TerraGroup to carry out security quests in the Norvinsk region and cover up their illegal activities.

Features: USEC members typically use NATO standard weapons and have stronger control over light weapons. Their voice communication is in English.
Advantages: In the early stages of the game, choosing USEC may provide some advantages when engaging with enemies who use Western weapons.

Battle Encounter Assault Regiment (BEAR)

Battle Encounter Assault Regiment (BEAR) is a private military force supported by the Russian government, aimed at countering USEC's illegal activities in the Norvinsk region.

Features: BEAR members are proficient in using Russian-made weapons, such as the Kalashnikov series of rifles. Their voice communication is in Russian.
Advantages: Players who choose the BEAR faction have an advantage in handling Russian-made weapons and may find it easier to identify enemies who also use Russian-made weapons.

Faction Choice Impact

Initial Equipment: The initial equipment will differ between factions.
NPC Relationships: Some NPCs may have different attitudes towards players of different factions.
Game Experience: The choice of faction mainly affects the game's immersion and role-playing experience, with little impact on the core gameplay.

Regardless of which faction you choose, the ultimate objective is to survive in the harsh environment of Norvinsk and find a way to escape.

NPC Factions

In addition to the factions that players can choose, there are also multiple NPC factions in the world of Duckov. They can be either friends or foes, adding more variables to the world.
